A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Cypress is definitely one of the mountains that get more snow in van. Good runs and staff are awesome.

Customer Service person named Tovo will not be forgotten from my visit yesterday. He was only one in Customer Service who with great charm acknowledged my complaints about the ridiculously inefficient ticketing (season passes, etc.) process, and in the end exceeded my service expectations. Thank you, Tovo! I've been skiing at Cypress since 1982 and it was refreshing that very good and capable staff still can be found there!

Cypress has huge amounts of parking if you like walking 45 minutes to your day of skiing. The ample parking also allows them to pack the runs to dangerous levels of busy all so they can maximise their profits at the detriment to skier and boarder experience. This season 21/22 they have a severe staff shortage which means many of the runs and lifts are not open and they sometimes only have 2 people on ski patrol. The staff shortage however is unsurprising when staff earn minimum wage and have zero benefits aside from a lift ticket which is useless when most runs aren’t even open. Many days this season the runs haven’t even been groomed which means that beginners really struggle and it seems as though there’s no reason for this apart from the staff shortage. The food is overpriced as are the lessons, especially considering how little the instructors actually earn per lesson (approx 1/10th the cost of the lesson). Lessons have stayed the same price for years however this year there’s been days where lifts have been broken and runs closed and yet cypress continue to still charge full price for lift tickets. Overall cypress rely heavily on seasonal overworked and underpaid foreign labour and this year it has come back to bite them and left them with a severe staff shortage.

online tickets are oversold resulting in huge lines and massive walks from parking lots. not worth the money

Long lineups not worth the effort parking staff are rude.

We arrived by 9:00 a.m., on a Monday. Waited in a long line of cars and was finally directed to a parking spot. The attendant said it would be a kilometre walk, carrying skis and walking in ski boots! We ended up leaving and that was the 3rd time! We were very disappointed, frustrated and plain angry. Cypress does not have a reservation system for season’s pass holders which makes no sense. They continue to sell day tickets which is plainly irresponsible. I e mailed them twice asking for a refund or credit for next year. No reply. Cypress cannot handle the volume and can’t bother to reply to guests’ concerns. Do not waste your time and money.

If you want to spend your day in massive lineups, this is the mountain for you. One hour vehicle lineup to access the park, only to find out all but the furthest parking lots are full— a 15-minute walk to the bottom of the lift and a 45-minute chairlift lineup—mismanaged operation. Season pass holders are not required to book in advance like Whistler, so Cypress is jammed packed.

It is very scary if you are concern about catching COVID19 as physical distancing is not existent and there is no enforcement. some people have very thin layer of cloth coving their face. some don't even bother to cover their mouth al all in the very looong lineups. I mean looooong as it took 1 hour each run. Some idiots even jump the quene and stands beside you on the line up. some idiots even goes pass you in the line withough face covering. I feel like I just got COVID afterwards. I will not go back this year.

SHAME on Cypressmountain
Who do they think they are, they DO NOT HONOR MASK EXEMPTIONS
they DO NOT ACCEPT CASH
Every staff member on this mountain is RUDE and think that the Constitution doesn't apply here. I will NEVER spend a dime or waste my time coming here again and WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THEIR BEHAVIOR.

I've been a season pass holder for years. Having a mask policy that suggests that a mask must be worn 100% of the time while outside on a mountain is a horrific policy and if it continues, i will look for legal avenues to hold you responsible. I have a medical condition which makes it extremely difficult to maintain this draconian rule, which makes this discrimination. Also, currently I am tested for the new flu 3 times a week ffs. Hopefully if this continues, you will feel it in your bottom line.
