A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Not good once you are past a beginner level. Go to any other mountain and there ‘blacks’ are greens

Stay away at all costs. Absolute dumpster fire from the top of management/owners all the way down to the teenage staff. Owner Shaun Hayes is overbearing while also not having any idea how to run the area. He constantly berates and belittles his staff. Workers are undertrained and the toxic environment has led to high turnaround. Snowblowing/grooming is the worst I have ever seen - these clowns can hardly keep one short, flat run open with frankly embarrassing conditions. Mountain has not been fully open in years. Whoever is driving the grooming machines simply have no idea what they are doing, leaving enormous chunks of ice and ruts in the trails. Even after 18” of natural snow fell in the days leading up to their planned opening, rocks and patches of dirt were exposed in the snow.
Completely overpriced for the quality, especially if you have to rent equipment. Lighting for night skiing is spotty if present at all - one of the lights on Dragon’s Back has been out for weeks since they opened and no one seems to care. Lifts are slow and sound like they are going to fall apart at any moment.
Information posted online is genuinely false, especially anything regarding conditions. Report will claim 2-3 feet of snow that doesn’t exist. Trails that are listed as having snowmaking and lights like 747 and Shredwood in reality have none. Also the 747 lift has been gutted and isn’t even equipped with a motor, why is it listed on the trail map? Festival double chair often reported as open when it isn’t running, even with longer lines than ever before forming due to the surge in popularity of local skiing during the pandemic.

I go several times a year. Taught my son how to ski here. We had been to other places much larger but this was the best place to teach or be a beginner. Not bad for intermediates as well. Also, great tavern and night life, live music, parties, etc. FUN!
Not Impressed
Not worth it at any price these days.

This is a nice little mountain great for beginners and those looking to improve their skills without having to travel hours at a time. The new ownership is committed to making PR a destination location and based on what I'm seeing, I'm confident people will be talking about this place for years to come!
