Kiroro Trail Map
Kiroro’s terrain spans about 19 miles of skiable routes set across two main peaks: Asari and Nagamine. The layout divides clearly into zones for different skill levels, with wide beginner areas, progressive groomers for intermediates, and steep backcountry-style descents for advanced and expert skiers. The elevation ranges from 1,870 feet at the base to 3,871 feet at the summit, with a vertical drop of 2,001 feet that delivers solid downhill flow across most routes.
Beginners are best served on Nagamine side, where easy access to surface lifts and mellow greens make the start of each day smooth. Trails here are wide and carefully maintained, and ski school sessions operate adjacent to learning zones for added convenience. The terrain gently flattens near the base, making it perfect for families and first-timers.
At Kiroro, courses are divided into green (beginner), red (intermediate), and black (advanced). Intermediate riders have plenty to explore, with eight trails offering long descents perfect for carving. The ‘Center Express’ lift services several mid-mountain runs, including the popular ‘Center A’ and ‘Center B,’ which provide consistent pitch and visual contrast with snowy treelines. Kiroro’s grooming team keeps the surface ideal for progression.
Advanced skiers can venture over to Asari Peak for steeper groomers, tighter glades, and deeper powder access. "Power Ridge" and "Orange Light" are favorites for their varied terrain, while the resort’s backcountry gates give access to more challenging terrain with fewer skiers. These zones often retain fresh snow for days after storms due to Kiroro’s orientation and protection from strong winds. Avalanche gear is required and weather clearance governs access.
Freestyle skiers have access to a terrain park with basic features, small kickers, and rails suited for beginner to intermediate tricks. The park is modest but well-maintained, especially in springtime when the storms are less frequent, with mellow flow ideal for playful laps.
