Kiroro Trail Map
Kiroro’s terrain spans 55 km of skiable routes set across two main peaks: Asari and Nagamine. The layout divides clearly into zones for different skill levels, with wide beginner areas, progressive groomers for intermediates, and steep backcountry-style descents for advanced and expert skiers. The elevation ranges from 600 m at the base to 1,220 m at the summit, with a vertical drop of 620 m that delivers solid downhill flow across most routes.
Beginners are best served on Nagamine side, where easy access to surface lifts and mellow greens make the start of each day smooth. Trails here are wide and carefully maintained, and ski school sessions operate adjacent to learning zones for added convenience. The terrain gently flattens near the base, making it perfect for families and first-timers.
Intermediate riders have the most to explore, with more than a dozen blue-level trails featuring long, carving-ready turns. The "Center Express" lift services several popular mid-mountain runs like “Grand Line” and “Peach Valley,” both offering consistent pitch and visual contrast with snowy treelines. Kiroro’s grooming team keeps the surface ideal for progression without sacrificing speed.
Advanced skiers can venture over to Asari Peak for steeper groomers, tighter glades, and deeper powder access. "Power Run" and "Deep Pine" are favorites for their varied conditions, while the resort’s sidecountry gates give access to terrain with fewer skiers and more challenge. These zones often retain fresh snow for days after storms due to Kiroro’s orientation and protection from strong winds.
Expert-level terrain includes off-piste routes accessed through designated gate systems, where avalanche gear is required and weather clearance governs access. Steep chutes like “Slide Out” and “Premium Zone” are challenging, rewarding those with precise technique. These descents offer sharp ridgelines and narrow shoots carved through deep natural snowpack.
Freestyle skiers have access to two terrain parks with basic features, small kickers, and four rails suited for beginner to intermediate tricks. A halfpipe near the Nagamine base sees good upkeep and is typically open from mid-season onward. These parks are modest but well-maintained, with mellow flow ideal for playful laps.
