Sun Valley Firsthand Reports

Nice (hard) hike up to the Round House. Temp 65 degrees yet feels like 55 degrees. Some dark clouds, wind gusts but no lightning threat. Gondola still running….thus a FREE ride down!!!!

Don’t let the relatively low snow season fool you- the skiing here has been fantastic!

Sunny beautiful grippy snow after two days of powder.

Saturday February 14th. Very firm to icy base with a layer of man made snow on top that would get pushed into piles as the day went on. Difficult to hold an edge with any confidence.

Remarkably good for no snow in a long time. I’d call it packed powder with some thin/icy/skied off spots. Good, firm and consistent first thing. Pretty much groomers only, occasional bumps in the sun… Read more

From whence we came…. Bowls are beautiful. One buddy on lift described snow as chopped chowder, windswept in places, but it moved. Cold and clear today! Awesome views

Lots of snow up top and low visibility. Windy. Will be great when it cools down a bit. Upper limelight was the best run. Lower half wet
