A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Love this resort. The village is finally complete and adds a great compliment to the mountain. Wish there was a little more apres vibe though

Not much to do. Expensive for the size. Really poorly managed if you’re used to Utah, WY level ski resorts. If you’re going to venture all the way out there, go to another resort - not worth the trip.

I had reservations for March 5th, 2024. Ketchum received 12-16 inches of snow and it was not safe to travel to Ketchum. ID. Tamarack has a 3-day cancelation terms and did not refund my money.

I’ve been here twice in February and the snow has been great both times. Despite only having only main lift from the base the lift lines are very short. The mountain has good variety and some long lines 4+ miles. The village is very nice but small. There are only two restaurants for dinner. Seven Devils (good bar food and great drinks) or The Reserve (high end but casual steak house that books out without reservations). Ordering take out steaks, truffle fries and Greek salads from The Reserve was our go to for several nights of dinner. We stayed in Rosebury 304 and this 2 bedroom condo was incredible. Tons of space and top of the line finishes all around with fantastic furnishings.

Tamarack used to be my favorite resort to take the family. They had two really cool yurts and a free flowing lodge for when the kids needed a break. They removed the yurts and replaced it with and uncomfortable food court that looks like it should be in a mall, and have made rentals, ticket purchases and grabbing a beer very cumbersome. The terrain is fun but the #tamfam environment is gone. Such a shame!

If looking for an all around great family ski resort without long lift lines, look no further. While Tamarack has a colorful past, it's hard times are in the past. The amount of $ invested into the resort over the past 5 years is staggering - new lifts, brand new village, 7 food and beverage venues, mid-mountain lodge opening next year.

Amazing spot to visit all year round. The new Village is beautiful.

Beautiful resort. Process of buying lift passes and renting equipment is fragmented into several separate parts, in different buildings. Flow is not intuitive and the staff is not proactive, helpful, or cordial. Rather that directing customer traffic, they sit and wait for you to approach and ask what to do next and where to go. With only 1 of 4 stations open, one person sat at the desk to type info in the computer and do nothing else, while another pulled the boots for the patron to try on. Then they both sat at the computer talking as they waited to see if the boots fit the patron in front of us.
Rental payment on one end of outdoor dome lift tickets on the other end of the dome. Ski and snowboards rentals in one dome...boots in a different dome. It took nearly an hour to rent equipment on a day with almost no line to wait in (just one person in front of us).
I heard two other groups complaining in lift lines specifically about poor flow and rude staff, so mine was not an isolated experience. If you haven't been to this resort before, plan an extra hour to figure out the rental process.

Very friendly resort with great runs. Prices are more affordable than any other mountain in the region and plenty of rental accommodations. Now that there are more restaurants in the new village area, my family can relax and eat where they want.
