A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
SnoBowl is a kick. And it will make you a better skier - there are no lift lines so you can do a million short laps over terrain that features a LOT of snow snakes. There is no snowmaking so conditions vary widely. Last weekend we got two days of powder runs. The weekend before it would have been immensely unwise to venture off the groomed. It's super-cheap, very tailgate friendly, close to town and some decent bars for apres-ski.

If you live in the area or if you are just passing through its a fun hill to visit. It has one lift and 1-3 runs depending on the amount of snow available. It has limited ammenities but if you like a hill that you can hang out with friend and relax it is a blast. Its very family friendly with a focus on beginner terrain. If the conditions are good you can ski the surrounding bowl and get some good powder turns that only 2 or 3 people ever ride. There are a few jumps and rails but i wouldn't say it has a terrain park. The night life in near by Elko it alot of fun and your very likely to meet people on the hill that will show you the hot spots.
