A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Love my local mountain but without enforcement of rules and guidelines someone always gets injured.

Beginner ski resort with no high speed chairs. Good value.

My first time skiing Lee Canyon,I have been wanting to ski here for many years, and now that I have I can say this was one of the best days of skiing I have had in many years. This may not be the most challenging hill, but the people, staff, and conditions were light years ahead of any world class ski area. This hill is a return to when skiing was fun, affordable! Kudos to Lee Canyon for bringing a smile back to me and giving me a great day on the slopes.

I have been skiing Lee Canyon for years. It is a small resort, located amongst some of the most stunning scenery in the western U.S. Snowfall can sketchy some years….to the point of being totally reliant on man made snow. For many tourists and some locals, Lee canyon is a entertaining novelty act….a bucket list activity to check off your list. For many locals, this resort has been where they, and friends and family learned to ski, snowboard, tree ski, powder ski, and take on back country ski/snowboard adventures. Try to avoid weekends and holidays….it is far less crowed during week. Also, weather and driving alerts are no joke….everyone gets excited about mountain storms that can turn the resort into a powder paradise, but if ignore driving restrictions, (chains and/or 4WD only during or after big storms. Do not attach expectations that a small resort cannot deliver, and be courteous….patience matters. I have spent many days over 34 years having a great time at Lee Canyon…I was there five times in the last two weeks, and three times this week, (2/21- 2/26). My brother flew out from Michigan this week and had two powder says out of the three days he skied Lee this week.

This place has given me the confidence in parks I used to have I've been to Michigan cali and Colorado to ride and for the price especially ride local this place is friggin great I'll probably be riding it for the next 10 years

The place has potential but the mountain maintenance clearly doesn’t care. Loose Rocks EVERYWHERE. don’t bring a good board or skis as they are guaranteed to be ruined as it’s a quarry.
Rails are jammed together in awkward positions and are actually a liability. The park crew is non existent as you can tell from the rocks that litter the approach, ramps, and landings. They just don’t take pride in the place.
Locals seem used to all the rocks as they just grind over them, clearly not aware of even basic mountain maintenance being neglected or it’s because they have no choice.
No cell signal and horrible internet or no internet service makes emergency calls or missing friends or children impossible to locate.
The place is dangerous.

The one benefit Lee Canyon has is its proximity to Las Vegas Boulevard. If you are a group of beginners who have never skied or boarded before, Lee Canyon is worth a trip. Everyone else should drive the distance to another mountain. The slopes are short, but offer opportunities for jumps, speed, and trees. The road up the canyon to the slopes is steep and continues for ~20 minutes from the highway. Our van (Mercedes-Metris) could not make it up to the mountain as the they DID NOT SALT THE ROAD. Over 300 cars attempted to make the journey and at least half had to turn around. It was a miracle that there were no accidents (that we observed). By noon, my group attempted the climb again and we did succeed. Rental shop was very busy and took at least 40 minutes to get 1 person fitted and set up, which wouldn't have been bad if we hadn't lost half the day due to the FAILURE TO SALT THE ROADS. If you book your lift ticket/rental equipment online in advance, they will not refund you for any reason, implying that THEY INTENTIONALLY LET THE ROAD FREEZE SO TOURISTS WILL TURN AROUND AND FORFEIT THEIR MONEY. The lodge is nice.

Close to Vegas. Good day trip. Staff is nice and mountain is reasonably priced.

I LOVE LEE CANYON. I have skied Lee since 1985. Yes the price of lift tickets have gone up (half day used to be $13. However, they make options affordable to locals with the Battle Born pass and the Ride local pass. How can you complain about a season pass for $250, $200 if you do the February 50K Challenge??? Plus it includes parking. Sorry folk, this IS the best deal in the desert.
