I went to ski yesterday. I’ve been going here for many years. The following are positive attributes of Greek Peak. Staff are friendly and helpful. They make sure you get on the lifts safely. Over all grooming of the trails is good. Selection of trails is good as well. For the area overall a good mountain. Now for the negative aspects. Too many trails are consistently closed, Zeus being one such slope. Also I didn’t like the fact that while they were making snow on Zeus ,which incidentally was not opened, people on the ski lift had to turn their face away to avoid the free flowing snow debris . It just seemed a little obnoxious. There are a couple beginner trails where there aren’t enough lights and areas where it is discouragingly dark. At first I thought maybe it was a broken light , but upon inspection , I realized there were no light poles. This is quite alarming and lights need to be put up . On expert trails I noticed some areas had thin amount of snow , to the extent that it was almost bare. I wish the depth of snow could be consistent from top to bottom. The chair lifts seem unreasonably slow , taking too much time away from being on the trails. Also they should put more money into the ski lifts as they are not aesthetically pleasing ( old, worn) in appearance . The building where you get your ski pass and rental need to be updated . It looks a little decrepit and dingy. Please put money into making it look nicer. With that said , I think a 3 star review is fair. It is a good place to ski, it just needs a little more attention to detail.
