A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Neither a Holiday nor a Mountain this is a sad example of what happens when a community owned area gets purchased by a company with no knowledge of skiing or any soul. This tiny area once had the best ski racers and ski teams in New York State. Now all that is gone. The place closed off over half the area for a summer park and then cut several other runs in half. There used to be a old school base chalet with home made food and a funky bar, also gone. There used to be a ski club with their own building also gone. Its overpriced, poorly maintained and offers nothing then the fact that any ski hill is better than none at all. So sad.
This place may not be as big as it once was but it serves the area well. It is a place for beginners and they work with the land that they have. If you want real trails go elsewhere. What do you want them to do create hills that there aren't even space for. Yea overpriced but the owners goal is to catch people who want to try and have the money to do so. So stop complaining.
ty
so small it only covers a few acres and the double diamond is like the bunny hill at belleayre!!!!!!
only 5 trails and only like 3 are open and it costs i think 55$ for a 4 hr lift ticket!!!!!!1
burgers are 6$
horrible place do not go!!!!!!
so i went to holiday mountan a few times last season and the place is nothing but a joke .. first we will talk about bang for the buck. lift ticket prices are very over priced i could have drove to a bigger moutain and spent about the same . the place only has 3 runs open on a good day and 5 max. about four years ago when the new owner bought the place he closed down the best tralls on the hill to open up there new summer park. the terrain is useally ice or corn sized ice and any powder get grommes over withien the hour. the food costs like 6$ for a burger and none of there food is homeade. it is not worth the money go to belary
I am on the ski team and it is the closest ski area we have to practice. But the staff is good, a little to much on the food prices. Most of the 2007-2008 season only 3 trails were open, but hat had changed twards the end of the 2008 season; when they opened 4 more. Lots Of races held there. As I said Earlier the terrain was poor, the XX Hill to me was like an easy hill compaired to others I have Been. It is a good place if you are local but if you are an expert stay away.
went to tube run during the weekend. great time, kids loved it, staff was great, prices were to be expected
my last experience at holiday mtn was a real bummer they only ad one chair lift open and three trails. i would recomend this mountain for beginner riders only, ski belleayre.
