The Remarkables Trail Map
The Remarkables is built around three sun-drenched, north-facing bowls that offer a mix of groomed trails, natural features, and off-piste adventure. The terrain spans 20 km of skiable distance with a vertical drop of 357 meters. The mountain is served by 7 lifts, including high-speed six-seaters and quad chairs, ensuring quick access to all zones. The layout is intuitive, making it easy to explore without long traverses or confusing intersections.
Beginners will feel at home in the learner’s area near the base, where wide, gentle slopes and surface lifts provide a safe space to build skills. The Kea Club and Skiwiland programs offer structured learning for kids, while adults can take advantage of group or private lessons. The terrain here is forgiving, with plenty of room to practice turns and gain confidence.
Intermediate skiers can cruise runs like Alta Blue and Curvey Basin, which offer rolling terrain and scenic views. These trails are consistently groomed and ideal for refining technique. The Serpentine and Upper Gallery areas also provide natural features and playful transitions for those looking to mix things up.
Advanced skiers will appreciate the steeper pitches in Shadow Basin and the hike-to terrain off the ridgeline. Guthrie’s Chutes and the East Face offer short but intense descents through subalpine terrain, with natural obstacles and variable snow conditions that reward precision and control.
Freestyle riders can explore three terrain parks, each catering to different skill levels. The Sugar Bowl park features over 40 elements, including rails, boxes, and kickers. The Burton Stash Park—one of only six in the world—is a standout, blending natural terrain with creative features for a unique riding experience.
Scenic highlights include views from the top of the Homeward Run, which stretches 1.5 km and offers a smooth descent with panoramic vistas. Snow gums, open bowls, and dramatic ridgelines give The Remarkables a distinct alpine character, making every run feel like part of a larger adventure.
