Skiing would be great if they were not making snow. Every slope your goggles get covered with ice to the point you can’t see.

Sugar Mtn doesn’t care about you. There are no ski racks, so you lean your skis or board on fences and they fall over. Sugar thinks it’s ok to use every snow maker on the hill, in 20mph winds, on a holiday weekend. Lines for lifts are long, lines for food are longer, and there is nowhere to sit. If ...

Conditions are looking really good up at sugar! All runs open and snow is pretty fresh from the last storm. Gets pretty icey here at the end of the day so come early!

This was my first time at Sugar Mountain. Really enjoyed the slopes. The natural snow was slightly wet since the temperature was around 32 degrees. Was good but around 1 to 1:30 there were people just laying out on the slopes texting on the phone or just chilling across the slopes made it hard to even wanna snowboard they were there like that till I left at 2:30

Had a great time today! Had never been skiing in NC and didn’t know what to expect. Weather forecasts were way off. No major snowfall as had been anticipated. However, there were flurries all day today and the snowmaking machines were on, too. El Niño years = generally more snow in the Appalachians....
