I can't believe how inefficient Horseshoe has become with trying to buy tickets to ski. 30 mins already in line and at least 20 people ahead. Lift ticket express is anything but Express. The only option inside is to wait with ski rentals lessons and customer service. Stay away and ski elsewhere it's not worth it anymore

  • Not freezing weather
  • The line to buy lift tickets is so long is a joke

I am a local who goes there purely out of convenience. Skiing is ontario skiing, same across all of ontario. This review is specifically for crazy horse restaurant. I would say 50% of the time my order is wrong. I ordered take out today and once again it wa wrong. This is a consistent problem and very frustrating as there is no where else to get a "beer". Please someone open something somewhere else. Heights Fridays here I come.

Had a great time here! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rates are reasonable. Good for beginners and more advanced skiers.

Close to Orillia, good for beginners, but you'll be on the lift more than the hill.

  • Close to Orillia, and a good Hill for beginners.
  • You're on the lift more than the hills of you don't fall often.

Love the concept. Any app that aggregates useful information is value add. This app is missing some ski hills in southern Ontario area so not that useful to me until it's got more hills included.

  • Includes couple major hills in the area.
  • Missing Glen Eden Ski hill located in Milton Ontario

Probably the WORST hill in Ontario. We arrived on a day where they had speed ski practices. They have a sign that said, 'ski training in progress', however no signage on whether the public was allowed in the zones, nor was the path fenced off. We skied down the hill beside the path, with no one using it, only to be yelled at at the bottom for going down along with fellow public skiers. Knowing this is a public resort, they should at least fence off the path or place the training at a far hill instead of in the middle of the main hill. The food at the chalet was incredibly overpriced. Over $10 for a small poutin and small coffee. The lifts, are already Canadian know. As 'killers' for beginners. So nothing new there, just be prepared that the operators will not stop the lifts if you happen to fall. Definitely will not be coming back!

  • Quiet day
  • Rude patrols, over priced foods, killer lifts

Great hill for families so close to Toronto with many other activities like tubing. Our family enjoys staying at the Inn and accessing the pool and hot tub after skiing.

  • Family friendly
  • Like rest of ontario can get icy

Weekend night skiing is not recommended for families with younger children. Many disrespectful teenage boarders. Language and conduct in line is a concern. Lifties are friendly but staff inside not so much, not very knowledgeable about programs. Blue Mountain better value for the day.

  • Great midweek skiing, ok terrain park, well groomed
  • crowded weekends

There's nothing really special about this place that makes me want to drive back. It's not that I had a bad time (slopes were decent), but it could have been better. Since I'm a beginner, I stayed on their "pony tail" trail, which warns people that others may be going slow. However, despite this warning, there were plenty of folks who purposely whooshed passed me causing me to wipe out. Thanks, guys, I really needed that. If you want a more diverse age range (with more adults), then move on. This place (at least when I was there) was predominantly young (I know, what can I expect). However, if you're like me in my late 20s, it would have been nice to see some adult faces, which there weren't.

  • some good slopes for beginners
  • too many school kids, disrespectful skiiers/boarders
