I have skied all of the major Ontario resorts and Searchmont is by far my favourite. The terrain offers great beginner and intermediate slopes, but the reasons I love Searchmont are 1) the great snow - cold smoke powder at least a dozen times last season 2) the ungroomed and gladed runs complete with some huckable cliffs and a few sections that turn into pillow runs after a good dumping - some days last winter reminded me of heli-skiing at Revelstoke. If you are within a days drive and snow is in the forecast, do not hesitate to check this place out. You will not be disappointed.
