Great spot with the best people to deal with in the industry! Don't miss this, rent, stay and enjoy! Nothing else like it around and the seclusion is great!
I grew up skiing here and miss the compact, hometownf feel of this place. The snow can certainly pile up at Spout Springs and the terrain is a blast for a few hours. Easy to get to and priced right for the whole family.
January 10th, stardate 2010... made landing at Spout Springs Ski Resort. Excellent idea. The skies were clear, the paths were groomed, and there was no waiting in line. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Only con was the icy conditions off the groomed paths.
It was an easy drive to the ski area, buying lift ticket was quick (no lines) and a short walk from the car to the "skis on" area. I did a couple of runs on the easy slope to warm up and then went over to the other lift. It snowed the whole time and every run was awesome. No lines, friendly lift attendants, great powdery snow ( a little windy, but who cares? with everything else so wonderful?). It was steep enough to be fun and, there were enough runs that I didn't get bored. I will be back......... it's only an hour from Pendleton!
Thank you to all the employees who helped me find my way around, got me on the lifts comfortably and smiled while doing their jobs!
Spout Springs, a small ski resort near Walla Walla was a great experience. This resort having only two lifts has an easily accessible snow park and lots of fun for its miniature size. I like it the most because it is open until nine at night, opening at ten, not requiring an early start to beat the traffic. This resort is nothing special, but don't expect any lines or traffic on Fridays. Too bad it closes so early in the year, but for a day trip it is a great little hill.
