reading the report I thought I would have to only ski the moguls and groomer of man made snow but a storm came and I wish I brought my powder skis. In the woods, my poles would go down to the handles and it was light all the way down. The terrain wasn't as steep as expected but better than some Colorado resorts and the amount of blacks was nice without much flats or traverses. The moguls and woods were soft and not rutted. Plenty of fast lifts and they remained operating so we usually had no lines even on the weekend with a storm. The forest is thick but glades cut across the trails and the east side ridge is hikeable via boot or skins without a climb since the lifts go to the top. Untracked snow was easily to find and so was lightly tracked because I brought skinny slalom skis. There is food at bottom and top but cafeteria at bottom closed very early. We enjoyed a restaurant lunch that was very nice and fairly quick. I don't know why the snow was understated and we are very happy we went anyway for our best trip in the east to date and other trips had storms. We didn't go to local towns but played a hockey game at the well lighted outdoor neighborhood hockey rink with a nice warming hut and enjoyed the view of the river from the hot tub. Negative: drive through the snow, staff was very helpful but needed more, cafe
Plenty black runs, Great glades and easy hikeable runs. Much more fine powder than expected - had to dig way down to find skis, Not crowded. Well maintained roads. Good views. Our best of the east now.
Cafeteria at bottom closes early. Lifts close earlier than expected.

Great ski slope, not much open here because of Covid. Run were really nice and for the green, blue and most black....... but some runs that didn't have snow making, the runs had small rock on top of the slopes too, just the way this winter was here, lack of snow even in mid. Febuary. Overall, it is a skier only Kinda of place, not much in activities on the resort or even in the town at the base. We'll definitely come gain some day soon!!!!!!!
Not that many ppl on the weekdays
this winter of 20/21 made many icy spots

We are in the midst of COVID. Skied dec 29, 2020, with 12 runs open including a long run down to Gondola base. But the lines are over 30 mins wait and very slow. Considering we can ski during COVID, I'm thankful and have no complaints against Le Massif. But we have lots of selfish clowns who refuse to wear a mask despite being told to do so many times over, and some people just will not keep 2m apart. They keep shouting like at rave party and ignore social distance. It is sad there are so many selfish clowns.
Open during Covid - we are lucky
Not a lot of runs

Best place East! Good ski conditions, nice people, SUPER view and great after ski at the bar. Food is realy good also. Just 1h from Old Quebec City. A must to try. Lots of expert slopes (muggles, glides, black, double black and triple black...). New 8 places gondola... Try the 42, Pioché, Tremblay, Charlevoix (if open), Dominique Maltais & Chaudière (my preferate slopes).

We stayed at le Refuge units 4C and our stay very much. The unit was excellent and well setup with everything we needed. The team that takes care of the rentals is expert. Ski in an ski out (but be careful to make sure you don't miss the lest ride up the lift!) is great and when its storming, it's good remember that you are staying at the top of a mountain. The skiing is excellent and this area often gets good snow when New England is suffering warmer conditions.
Great location at the top of the mountain
come prepared with everything you need

The physical terrain of this mountain is spectacular, and the infrastructure (lifts, lodges) is new and modern. The mountain doesn't seem interested in making snow or grooming, leaving you at the mercy of weather patterns. Early in the season, very limited terrain; while MSA and the New England resorts were blowing snow, no action here, leaving few trail choices that quickly became scrapped off by mid morning. Great potential for tree skiing, but again, little cover and everything roped off. Will be interesting if the mountain puts more money into the snow conditions once Club Med opens next year.
Great Terrain
Limited snow making and grooming

Extremely icy conditions. Terrible customer service. Absolutely no refunds or credit regardless of the horrific conditions. Don't waste your time coming to ski here, all 7 of us were extremely disappointed.

I gladly drive 4h from Montreal to ski at Le Massif instead of the 2h drive to Tremblant. The runs are steeper, there is no wait for the lifts and the cafeteria offers the best food of any east coast ski resorts! I always start my day going down « La Petite Rivière », an intermediate run that is still pretty steep and has an incredible view of the icy Fleuve St-Laurent. The only down side to this mountain is the funnel effect going down to the main chair lift, which means those 3 runs can get pretty icy and hard for beginners.
Views and steep runs
Lower runs to chair gets icy

Just love this place. Beautiful scenery, challenging runs, very European feel, lots of great glades, long mogul runs and no lift lines. I'll be back many times.

Loved this mountain. My favourite in Quebec. Long runs with breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence. Excellent for multi-leveled skiers. No lines. I will be back.
Great hill, gorgeous views, short lines
