A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Brighton is a great mountain for families, locals, terrain park enthusiasts, and groups looking to accommodate varying skill levels. There is something for everyone at Brighton, though Beginners, Intermediates, and Terrain Park fans will have the most fun. The glades are another stand out feature, they are second to none! There are multiple types of dining options available with options that should make everyone happy.
The resort never feels too crowded on the runs, though it can get congested near the Base at the Crest and Majestic lifts during holidays and weekends. The Vertical is also more limited than most of the other well-known Utah resorts. The Signage is not great, so visitors may find themselves lost from time to time, though the regulars are friendly and happy to offer help and point you in the right direction if you do get turned around.
There are not many options to stay on-site or nearby, and getting parking is a pain on the weekends. I wish there were better car alternative options to make getting there less painful on the weekends, or that there were more/better on mountain lodging and facilities so that taking the Ski Bus didn’t feel like such a hassle.
Brighton is a great place to learn to ski or ride, or to practice and progress on the slopes or in the terrain parks. The vibe is friendly, helpful, fun, and welcoming. It is the best value for your money of any of the larger Utah resorts. Brighton is my favorite Utah resort to visit on the weekdays. It’s also a great dark horse option on powder days as most of the powder hounds go elsewhere, which leaves more powder for me!

Overall Brighton is good. Best snow and affordable. Just too many people

With Brighton's lighted night skiing, you think it would be a great fit for those flying into SLC in the morning to make it out for afternoon into evening skiing. Unfortunately, we bought the pm lift pass on our way from the airport to Brighton. There website said all the lifts were open and didn't say anything about closing early. When we arrived we were informed that they were closing at 4pm even though our pass didn't start until 1pm. Then they closed aft 75 minutes of skiing at about 2:15pm due to brief lightning, which is understandable. Since they weren't reopening we checked with guest services. They would not give any discount and would only give a future credit minus $75 because they charged were charging people $25 for each run (we had done 3). It was an all around a bad experience with zero reimbursement for weather. And how hard is it to update the website that only 2 lifts are open and that they were closing early? Why sell a pass good until 9pm when you are closing at 4pm? Needless to say, I will never be returning to Brighton. The terrain is not that great so you think they would be trying to win over customers with great service. Do better Brighton.

Season pass holders were supposed to get priority parking
Jan Pred week 2023 in THE GREAT4ST POWDER I have had the joty to skin in at least qd years, we stayed in cottonwood area, visited Brighton four times and Snowbird-Alta only twice because: Littke Cottinwood a canyon was Sooo impacted slow up ( 2-3 hrs) bumper to bumper tgat it was hard to be ecstatic at end of day at Snowbird Alta despite tge sniw. Brighton was incredibly less expensive, FANTASIC powder, no crowds and easy to get to great beyond the ropes more untouched powder with steady return to baeclifts. Fun atmosphere with locals coming up in afternoon a d night skiing. HOWEVR, zero on the apres ski even just relaxing food and drink & atmosphere. Not looking to party, but, when dine it’s time to get down tge canyoun

It’s so small and crowded you have to hunt for powder
Boasts high speed lifts but has the longest lines
Show up at 6am and wait til 830 to get in line or it’s going to be tracked out before you get there
I’ve never had a season pass i couldn’t use because of how busy a place is

Great place to ski and not just for families. Don’t be fooled by the lower than normal feet skied per day, this is some of the best tree and powder skiing anywhere. Brighton has the “Locals Only” vibe, family vibe and the stoke Powder vibe all in one!

Stuck up there new years eve. People showed up for night skiing but they never posted they were closed. Parking lot and canyon were completely stopped and everyone is stuck up there with no staff around helping out. Brighton has totally lost it’s flare. There is no effective management in place and it’s a bit of a nightmare now. If you plan on going up just remember you may not get home for about 2 or 3 more hours. Every time we go there’s a problem in the resort or in the canyon.

I started skiing late in life at 53, and now at 57, I'm on the blacks like a pro! Brighton was my first real ski resort, so I consider it my very first ski home. GREAT place and so much FUN. So glad I chose this resort to lose my ski-V. Great runs, fantastic staff, superb ski school. And I have to give a shout out to the lodge there...not glitz and glam, but oh so nice after a long day on the slopes.

I love Brighton, it's a great Mt. with good terrain, not too crowded and cool people. They have night skiing and Molly's, the on-site bar, has a good beer selection and great homemade food, I never had a bad meal.
