Park City Trail Map
Park City’s terrain is vast and varied, spanning 140.1 miles of skiable routes across two main base areas: Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village. Beginners will find gentle slopes near the First Time and High Meadow lifts, with wide groomed runs like Home Run offering a comfortable descent. These areas are ideal for families and those new to skiing, with easy access to ski schools and learning zones.
Intermediate skiers have a wealth of options, particularly around King Con and Silverlode lifts. Runs like Claimjumper and Parley’s Park offer long, rolling descents with consistent pitch and excellent grooming. These areas are also home to the Family Adventure Zone, which blends playful terrain with scenic views. The intermediate terrain accounts for 41% of the resort’s trails, making it a sweet spot for most skiers.
Advanced terrain is concentrated around the McConkey’s and Thaynes lifts, where steeper pitches and natural features challenge experienced skiers. Jupiter Peak is a standout zone, offering bowls and ridgelines with dramatic drop-offs. Runs like West Face and Monitor Bowl deliver high-alpine skiing with minimal crowds, especially on weekdays.
Expert skiers can explore hike-to terrain off Jupiter Bowl and 9,990 lift, where steep chutes and technical descents await. These areas are less trafficked and offer deep snow after storms. The vertical drop of 3,226 ft allows for sustained, demanding runs that reward skill and stamina. Safety gear and avalanche awareness are recommended in these zones.
Freestyle riders will appreciate the resort’s six terrain parks, including the flagship 3 Kings Park. This zone features medium and large jumps, rails, wallrides, and a mini pipe. Pick Axe Park and Transitions Park offer progression features, while Little Kings Park is ideal for beginners. Two pipes, including an 18-foot superpipe, round out the freestyle offering.
Natural features like tree-lined gullies, open bowls, and panoramic ridgelines make Park City’s terrain visually stunning. The resort’s layout allows skiers to explore diverse zones without repeating runs, and the lift system ensures efficient access across the mountain. Whether you’re cruising groomers or dropping into steep bowls, Park City offers terrain that keeps skiers engaged all day.
