The actual mountain is good and the experience I had boarding on it was good, but that was after a terribly organized process to get my rentals and lift ticket. They had me and the people I went with wait in a ticket line just to end up telling us we needed to do everything online anyways. What???? Then me and my party had issues with the website and had to go to a ticket window after all so they could manually get our rentals and tickets sorted out. Furthermore, at the ticket window we accidentally bought a K-ticket voucher and when we asked to be refunded to buy another item we were told it would be "fixed" for us. I ended up being charged $140 for a ≈$80 ticket, and had to call back the next day to get a refund for the difference because the lady at the window didn't do what she said she would do. All around bad experience until I actually got things sorted out and didn't have to deal with any workers.

When we went, it was about a week after a massive storm meaning superstar was filled with a lot of snow and some of the glades were even open. In the morning conditions were icy and as the sun came out more slush started to form. Many runs were open such as solitude all the way from the top to the bottom which was a positive, however a lot of these runs had thin cover, but this was helped by signs saying thin cover. Thin cover ranged from patches of dirt to having to step on dirt on your skis in order to get down a run. Overall the mountain is one of the best on the east coast for size and diversity, and there’s enough to ski for two whole days beginning to closing.

We skied two days in Stowe and two in Killington. Stowe has fewer lifts but much longer trails. All our family members preferred Stowe. Killington was busier, and half of the trails were closed. Killington gondolas and lifts are mostly old and many without a footrest. Restaurants do not list drink prices and then charge $9 for a Getorade or a coffee.

I've been Killington a number of times and there is a reason I keep going back. When they have natural snow it is the most fun place to get lost at on the east coast. Almost everywhre on the mountain you go there is somewhere you can dip into the powder or ride a chairlift, weather its a high seed quad, a fixed grip lft, a bubble lift, or one of a couple gondolas. Even when mother nature does'nt cooperate the snowmaking teams work with it with the longest season in the east, early November- early June. Sometimes they open in october or even late septmber. The food here is top notch with the new K-1 lodge and basically a five star version of a food court just in the new lodge. They aslo have many other options for food in one of a few other lodges located around the mountain. The terrain parks at Killington are ranked in many places second in New England. the terrain parks are good fro all park riding levels.

When Killington has natural snowfall, it is a winter lovers playground. Although it has one of the most expansive snowmaking systems in the U.S. it is an east coast ski resort. Some amazing areas if you know where to look, but not saying anything on public forums. Also the parks at killington are insane. Would rather ride the park here than at Copper sometimes.

Killington has it all. Big mountain with skiing for all abilities. Great night life and restaurants on access road.

Love k-town despite the fact that we have not had snow they have done a tremendous job with snow making and expanding terrain to accommodate large crowds. The brand new lodge is absolutely beautiful the food and facilities are top notch

Found post storm powder & rode with some locals who took us on runs we have never seen. Been going to the Beast for over 30 years & some of the best runs were the lower part of mountain. Free parking & easy access to lift & K2 lodge which is going to cool when completed.

This mountain is exciting to ski and offers some of the best skiing experiences in New England. Navigating the base areas leaves a lot to be desired and would benefit from some serious traffic planning. That said, the mountain offers free public transit, which is a plus! Mountain management is doing its best to make Killington a year-round resort experience, offering mountain-biking and ropes courses. The apres life leaves a lot to be desired and is in dire need of an infusion of creativity, imagination, and capital.

Vermont's apparent fear of living in a world with viruses has descended into outdoor recreation at Killington with a tyrant badge wearing wanna-be ski patrol that sees fit to drive away business with their rude demeanor and shoulder chips that are apparently the size of the Green Mountain range. Nothing I observed about the ski patrol's behavior was professional or respectful when they confronted paying guests with what is apparently their own, or the resort's, paralyzing fear about virus masks. We spent $4000 to ski and stay for an extended weekend for my family of 11. Who wants to pay money to enjoy the outdoors, but instead watch land sharks patrolling lift and ticket lines harassing folks. Lesson learned, we'll be skiing in a better state next time, bad for business.
