First time making out our here and had the time of my life, I will definitely be coming back again hopefully for a true powder day.

Great medium size mountain, no frills throwback. Great grooming and some fun off-piste options. Really friendly and fun resort that does not have the headaches of the corporate run resorts. 100% worth a visit
Great grooming and cruising terrain. Nice laid back friendly vibe. Lots of sunny days.
Does not get as much snow as other NW resorts

Mission is a great laid back throwback to a bygone era. I really love the vibe at this mountian. By far the best crusing on groomed terrain in the NW. There are some steep chutes but in general expert terrain is limited. Still it is very different from other NW ski areas and a really fun locals mountain.
Laid back throwback with the best groomers in the NW region
Expert terrain is a bit limited, snowfall can be inconsistent.

Mission Ridge is a primary reason the town of Wenatchee became one of the "Very Best" places on Earth to live and raise a family. From our home it takes exactly 30 minutes to be up and skiing on Mission Ridge. I freely admit I am totally biased, but for all the right reasons...Great Snow! Great People! Great Mountain! Great Accessibility! Zero waiting in line! Even though the parking lot is near-full on the weekends, there is still essentially no waiting in lines for the chair lifts. Hard to believe...but true! AND NOW...when you think things can't get any better, there is a wonderful new improvement for Chair #2, with extra seating and increased speed...zipping us quickly to the top of the Ridge!!! I was skiing at Mission Ridge at 10-years old when it began operations 55-years ago in the fall of 1966. Since then, during and after my college days, I spent quite a bit of time on the NW ski hills: UTAH (Alta Snowbird, Park City and Sundance), IDAHO (Sun Valley & Schweitzer), BRITISH COLUMBIA (Whistler Blackcomb) and WASHINGTON (Mt. Baker, Crystal, Stevens Pass, White Pass, Snoqualmie, Mt. Spokane, Alpental, Leavenworth, and Badger Mountain. NOW...I wouldn't trade any of them for a day or night of Skiing on Mission Ridge!!! My parents started me at the rope-tow hill called "Badger Mountain" near Waterville when I was 4-years old...at least until Mission Ridge showed-up six-years later in '66. All the ski hills I mentioned above have their own special attractions...but I still like/LOVE Mission Ridge best out of all of the others I have skied. The snow on Mission Ridge is GREAT and most of the time I am skiing under the nice Winter Sun shining through a rich blue sky. Even when it snows there always seems to be very little wind. Most important to me and my wife is having the "best-place-ever" to have started my son and daughter skiing when they were only 4-years old. This year I started my "one week shy of 3-years old" Granddaughter on Mission Ridge's "Bunny Hill Rope Tow", with my assistance of course. She absolutely loved it and immediately progressed like someone truly motivated doing something immediately to her liking! I have to admit, I clearly understand the benefit of developing another great "ski partner", which I feel my granddaughter has already become at the very young age of 3. For all the skeptics thinking 3-years old is way too young, I would disagree...but only if the instruction is "hand's-on" and experienced for maximum safety!!! From what I have experienced, the Mission Ridge instruction crew is definitely "ALL OF THAT!!! I pulled this link off the Mission Ridge website (see directly below) which has a similar dad telling "his story" about bringing his 3-young kids over from Gig Harbor most weekends to ski at Mission Ridge, and has done it exclusively at Mission Ridge for the past 9-years. It is difficult to see how Winters could ever get any better than THAT...except for those lucky enough to be like our family, who have lived their/our lives, for the most part...only 30-minutes from Chair #1. For western WA this place has the best conditions. The snow is drier, the runs are wide, and the sun likes to come out. There new high speed quad is great but the other 3 chairs are old school fix grip, slow 2 seaters. There is great skiing off of chair 4 if the lines are long.
Great snow, sunny, wide runs
3 of the 4 chairs are old and slow

I love skiing here with my family and friends. Sunshine and the driest powder in Washington make for a great day on the slopes
Sunshine and dry powder

Was a great place for my family to learn to ski. I look forward to returning with the family this coming year.

Mission Ridge has a really friendly small town vibe, with amazing expansive terrain you'd find at a big resort. You never have to wait more than a few seconds to get on the lift, except when another lift shuts down (which isn't very often, but isn't too rare either). It isn't a beginner's mountain; there are few green runs and the blue runs are relatively steep. If you're an intermediate skier looking to challenge yourself, this is the place for you. Most of the acreage is off piste, which makes powder days (that are almost always dry and light) absolutely epic. There isn't much as far as apres ski- the restaurant stops serving food 30 minutes after the chairs shut. However, all of the staff are extremely friendly. All in all, I believe Mission Ridge has the best skiing in the Northwest.
lots of off piste, very friendly, dry snow, no lift lines
ghetto chairlifts, apres ski is limited, lodge is small
