Snow Reporter Comments: Friday, March 6, 2026It's shaping up to be a spring-like day up here, and a slightly damp one at that. Big, wet flakes are falling right now, but they should turn to clearer flakes later this morning. The grooming team was able to get out last night and lay down some fresh corduroy, giving you the chance for a few soft early-morning laps on a couple of runs.Right now, Summit West has the most consistent conditions. Riding has been good on the groomed runs and in areas that have seen enough traffic to keep things smooth. Riding off-trail has improved with the recent snowfall, but be aware of the low snowpack in places and the potential for recently covered hazards.Today's weather calls for precipitation throughout the day, with rain expected at pass level and snow higher up on the mountain. Expect this pattern to continue through the afternoon and into the evening. The right outer layers and the right goggle lens will make all the difference today.A fresh coat of wax on your boards will also be key to success, trust me on this.Have a great day and have fun out there.Sundown Showdown Rail Jam, TonightJoin Summit Parks for the third annual Sundown Showdown!
