For a Wisconsin Hill...a 5 Star! Top Notch Instruction from Experts that will take you to the Mountains!
What sets them apart is ski instruction and steep hills, similar to actual mountains. Our family grew up on this hill and have lots of positive memories. The ski Instuctors for our kids were top notch skiiers..from Gen X (us) to now Z (kids). They were on their game for the kids. In addition, 100% focused on positive affirmation! Our next Gen now loves to ski, as much as us. In addition, they were prepping our family for vacations in the Mountains.
Mom went to the Mountains of New Mexico and found them to be equal match for Sunburst! No area ski hill matched that ability to prepare one for a true mountain.
Thank You Sunburst for seeing the big picture for our family. It wasn't about a hill or single day, we wanted skills for life and diversity.

Tinny area and main run is called 3 runs. No off trail and so many beginners its dangerous. Once again extremely tiny and food is expensive

We went tubing over the weekend. Everything was great. The people on staff that day were really nice. The guys working the tubing lanes were a lot of fun. They all deserve raises! :-)

Sunburst is a decent ski mound. I did a lot of my skiing here during my first couple of years because of how close it was to where I lived and of their prices. The terrain is pretty good and groomed all of the time. There is a nice variety of runs in terms of difficulty; they have everything from green to double black. Unfortunately it's a very small hill so it doesn't take much time to get from the top to the bottom and what makes it worse is how slow the lifts are. It may take ~3-5 minutes to get to the top and less than a minute to get to the bottom.
Overall it's a decent place to go skiing if you're a beginner and maybe if you're an intermediate but there are better hills in Wisconsin.
Sunburst is an average ski hill, with everything from Green Circles to a Double Black Diamond, Holy Moly. Honestly, Sunburst is a nice place, but there is nothing to rave about it.

I must admit that this was the first place I ever went snowboarding. It was pricy and that day the conditions weren't great but I had a great time. I think that this was the best learning experience I could have asked for. However now that I have a little experience under my belt I would prefer a mountain about ten times the size of this one.
