Marmot is the best value for your hard earned dollar on a wonderful mountain ski experience! From the warm & frienfly & professional folks who work there to the unbelieveable beauty iof the Rocky Mountains Jasper has it all, in a relatively short drive from Alberta's capital city! Jasper has all the amenities ypu need for a memorable stay! Many different options avail to you to get to Jasper . Day trips Specisl shout out to & overnight trips via deluxe coach bus or u drive and stay at places like the Jasper Park Lodge! Once in Jasper there is many different activtys & sights to take in! Special shout out to the Marmot Main Chalet dining room host Renee! Who is a warm & friendly person who will look after your culinary needs. I have personally been to the dining room several timez & have had the pleasure of being served by Renee who went to great lengths to look after my many allergy issues to ensure I had a delicious & safe meal! Thanks to the many staff at Marmot who go over & above to give Marmots clients supreme service!!
Marmot is the best kept secret for down hill skiing value, close to Edmonton!
Madmot is not always blessed with the abundance of snow other resorts receive.

It's great that theyve recently upgraded the knob chair and they now have a very modern lift fleet. The powder lasts for days because there's no crowds and there are never any lift lines.
Beautiful alpine views.Lots of varied terain. Uncrowded, especially on weekdays. Cold, dry snow. Family friendly, good for learning.
No onsite accomodations. It is fairly remote.

When the snow is good this is my favourite ski hill.
If the conditions are good you can ski from your car and it's often very quiet. Some fun green, blue and black runs.
Food is overpriced and not great.

Such a great hill for my kids and I to learn on, great staff on the mountain. Food and beverage quality and value have declined since Dana Hospitality took over, and their policies against brown-baggers has the opposite effect to what they expect. We used to finish our day with fries, hot chocolates and beers. Now we’re not welcome in the chalet and wouldn’t dream of paying big bucks for watered-down lukewarm hot chocolate. Saves us money but it would be nice to go back to the good old days!
Great hill, great mountain staff
Food and beverage quality, prices and service
Over the years the resort has seen a downward trend to overall service. staff becoming less friendly and poorly trained. Cleanliness a concern and the grooming of the runs has diminished significantly . Management needs a wake up call.

Our first experience with Marmot Basin was outstanding. Super friendly staff, facilities operating efficiently, appropriate protocols for Covid19. Access to ski runs from parking lots is terrific - best of any resort in Alberta. Extensive terrain and variety of runs for intermediate (plus) skiers. Well worth our six hour drive - we’ll be adding this to our preferred ski locations.
Run variety, friendly staff, parking access
Would be helpful to show run numbers on signage

This place is horrible. Terrible snow. Boring runs. You don't want to go here. Especially right after a huge snow fall. Stay away so I can have the whole hill and fresh snow all to myself
Great tree runs
Lots of kids.

this is my Local hill, therefore I'm biased. but this is a unique, chill mountain, and Jasper is to Banff, like Edmonton is to Calgary, just superior... ; )
small town, local friendly feel. Great time to be had on this hill, everytime!
small, not a lot of variety... who cares, your not working

Took family up to ski. Though there are signs posted that cannabis is not permitted, it is apparent that it is perfectly fine to smoke weed at Marmot. The lift attendant said he couldn't do anything though the fellows were right there. One was so high he fell off the chair trying to get off. Guest services looked at me like I was "crazy" when I reported this.
cannabis/weed smoking tolerated
