Furano Ski Resort Trail Map
Furano Ski Resort consists of two connected zones: the Furano Zone and the Kitanomine Zone. Both are accessible with a unified lift pass and linked via inter-resort transport. The terrain covers 26 km and offers a mix of groomed runs, ridgeline traverses and off-piste access points. Furano's summit rises to 1,290 m, providing solid vertical relief and clear visual orientation across its layout.
Kitanomine is a friendly introduction for beginners, with wide, gently sloped pistes, surface lifts and nearby instructional facilities. This area includes the Snowland play zone and tubing lanes, making it a draw for families and younger skiers. Base-to-midstation runs here offer easy progression for learners.
Intermediate skiers have the widest selection, with nearly half of the resort’s terrain dedicated to blue-level pistes. The 4 km cruiser from top to base in Furano Zone is ideal for building rhythm and taking in the surrounding alpine scenery. Good grooming and moderate pitch make it one of the most popular runs at the resort.
Advanced riders will appreciate steeper chutes in the upper Furano Zone. Notable runs include the Technical Course and the Downhill Slalom Course, both featuring sustained pitch and suitable conditions for fast edge control. When fresh snowfall hits, these areas deliver excellent powder access and a semi-challenging descent.
For expert-level skiing, Furano offers limited—but high quality—options. The top sections of Mount Furano expose narrow, steep lines that require solid technique and confidence. Although avalanche-controlled, these runs can be demanding, particularly in deep snow or fog.
Freestyle skiers can head to the snowpark in Kitanomine, equipped with basic rail features, a halfpipe and designated jump zones. The park layout changes through the season, with rail lines and pipe walls updated after major storms. It’s suitable for intermediate trick training and casual afternoon sessions.
