Great mountain with a lot of terrain to choose from!

As a lover of fast groomers, my favorites are widowmaker to flume, gondi line and hayburner. When at the top of Timberline, you will get some of the best views. My favorite lunch spot is the Bag. Also, can’t beat Bullwinkles for a quick break to warm up or lunch. Dinner choices can be found both on and off mountain. Some of the best spring skiing in the East. One of the last resorts to close for the season.

This mountain has the potential to be great but it'sanagement cares more about condo owners then drawing on new crowds. The lifts are old and antique. Takes three lifts to get to the top. Lift lines on even halfway busy days are terrible. The parking lots are unorganized and have potholes that will destroy most vehicles. The staff is great but you can tell it's understaffed and they are overworked.. there is no ski town or community to hang in. This is a prime example of a old school mountain thats ego got the best of them and they never upgraded. Lodges were dirty and disgusting had to clean tables to make it suitable to eat. As someone who has rode this mountain since a kid it has gone so downhill. If you want a mountain in the state of Maine to go to go to Sunday River. Both are boyne mountain but are a great example of what management can do for a mountain. The ski school and the couches where great as well as the rentals department. The rest of the mountain just left me feel dirty and used .

In my opinion the best skiing in the east. Conditions hold very well all winter. great variety of terrain with something for everyone. Love the old New England culture. A little off the beaten path, but worth it.

been a New Hampshire skier all my life until I found Sugarloaf in 1969 and never looked back. Its a long haul but worth the effort when you finally get there!

They are not enforcing their own COVID rules. Skeleton crew can barely be bothered to keep things running. Lifts are inadequate for a resort this size, and we were here when they were operating well below capacity. Not a well run resort at all. Needs a total face-lift, including refreshing and retraining the staff. Despite that, you still full prices as if this were an up yo date resort.

This Covid 19 has disrupted Sugarloaf services. The top management is to blame as they have not conveyed accurate , updated information to their workers and have not instilled a demand for excellence from their workers but more a lackadaisical attitude. My main points The Mountain Adventure is meeting outside. Having skied for three seasons there I found no early direction signs of where they meet for the class until I finally found the only sign at the location itself. The liability form was told to be only available on line until we objected and sure enough they had them available in print.. Make more work for the customer is their motto. Get it online so we try and schedule the lessons for Mountain Adventure on line and it is no where to be found, only book now, not in the FAQ's.
We will persist until we find their secret key. The 24 or is it 48 hours you have to schedule ahead for a lesson. Management does not care if the right hand does not know what the left hand knows or is doing. Tomorrow I will find out how to schedule a lesson on line. I did schedule two lessons on the phone after signing up for 15 Mountain
ADVENTURE LESSONS BUT IT TOOK 30 MINUTES PLUS ON THE PHONE.
Pick out some of your smarter, service oriented people and have them teach the others. You are not totally booked at the hotel yet there was no one to answer the phone. Improvement is needed. Dec 22, 2020

Great mountain, good atmosphere, really outstanding mountain right after a snow storm. Top 1/3 of mountain is almost always fairly to very windy. The snow fields and surrounding trails are spooky steep with lots of exposure. Great mountain to get out of your comfort zone. Watch out for crazy drivers on the way up and back. Peace.
