Snow Reporter Comments: Afternoon Report, 2:30 PM The 2 to 3 inches at the base was easily 3 to 4 up on the hill, and where the wind piled it up skier's left, it was DEEP. The new snow groomed in beautifully, the glades felt completely refreshed, and the opportunities for first tracks were endless. And once the clouds gave way to bluebird skies? Perfect. Multiple people on the lift told me it was one of the best days of the season for them, and I'm inclined to agree.Tomorrow brings another chance to take advantage of the stellar snow conditions we're experiencing. Plus, Mainers and Canadians get discounted lift tickets.The forecast is calling for light snow, moderate winds, and temperatures maxing out around 17°F up top and 25°F down below under cloudy skies.The lift schedule will include Snubber, SuperQuad, DRC-B, Skyline, Bucksaw Express, and Skidway at 8:30, Whiffletree at 8:45, and Timberline and King Pine at 9:00.Our parks crew will be rebuilding on Upper Cruiser, so it'll be closed.Groomers plan to hit a similar trail list to last night.Happy hour is in full swing at the Widowmaker until 5 PM, and free tubing runs from 3 to 6 PM with a waiver and bracelet from Guest Services. Where Is Sugarloaf Ski Resort Located?
The Sugarloaf Regional Airport is about a 10-minute drive from Sugarloaf. The nearest large airport to the ski resort is Boston Logan International Airport, which is 250 miles (4 hours) away. Train service is available from Portland, Maine. Check the Amtrak schedule. Greyhound also offers bus service from Portland, Bangor and Waterville, Maine.
