A mixture of ice and powder pack. The blacks had large spots of ice with builtup snow mass.

We went January 2nd but I forgot to post one of these the day of. The conditions were pretty good throughout the day, we only noticed a few trails that were icier but for the most part the snow was pretty good. It was a shame two of the middle lifts were closed but oh well. For our first time going ...

Great beginning to the season in western Mass. after an overnight 8-9 inches. Slopes were as good as you can get. Merry Christmas and happy New Year.
