A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Came during likely the WORST snow season in a generation and they were 100% open. Staff was not full but those who were at work, were fantastic. Pro shop lady was very helpful, rental folks were great, lift fellas were friendly as could be...no complaints for this part of the country. I had a lot of fun with my family and thats the goal - not vertical, not jumps, not anything other than creating memories and this place excels at that #1 priority.

Great skiing hill. Awesome for families! Definitely better than the two and a half stars that's on this web site. You can't really compare it to out West hills. But for around here snows good, grooming's excellent, and staff is very welcoming.
I think they have the sewer smell in the main lodge where you eat, fixed. I haven't smelled it for the past year or so.
I'm holding out for a high-speed lift soon lol
Great hill, My family will definitely be back for decades to come. Thanks for being here Brule!

I've been multiple times and always have a good time but the terrain gets boring and the runs are extremely short. The food is also pretty bad.

In the early 2000s I witnessed the owner Steve physically assault a special needs CUSSA racer.
Since the incident I've been back a handful of times. What I find most disgusting is when you walk in the main Lodge it reeks like a septic tank is in your face.
That and they completely lie to their customers about the vertical drop and the length of runs. Ski Brule in no way shape or form is close to 500 feet of vertical drop. It's actually closer to 300. As for the mile long run. Maybe if you do it twice...

Had a great first time experience at Ski Brule this past weekend. I was very impressed with the helpful and friendly staff. They truly are very family focused and my kids felt right at home here. The Homestead lodge was a great place to hang out and I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwiches for lunch (very reasonably priced too). We skied the first day in fresh 8” of powder and loved the hill. The second day was more groomed, but there were still plenty of areas you could venture off the trail and find some powder in the trees. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back.
