Mt. Dobson Ski Area Trail Map
Mt. Dobson’s terrain spans 25 km of skiable distance with a vertical drop of 430 meters. The resort is served by 4 lifts: a triple chair, a T-bar, a platter lift, and a learner rope tow. The layout is straightforward and easy to navigate, with wide-open slopes and natural contours that make for enjoyable skiing across all ability levels.
Beginners will find gentle terrain near the base, where the learner tow accesses mellow slopes ideal for building confidence. The area is visible from the lodge, making it easy for families to regroup and relax between runs. Ski lessons are available, and the resort’s uncrowded vibe ensures a stress-free learning environment.
Intermediate skiers dominate the mountain, with long groomed trails like the Main Street and Ridge Run offering smooth descents and scenic views. The platter lift accesses a broad slope that’s perfect for practicing turns and enjoying uninterrupted laps.
Advanced skiers can explore steeper terrain near the top of the T-bar, where natural halfpipes and wind-formed gullies provide playful lines. The upper slopes are exposed and dynamic, offering variable snow conditions and rewarding descents.
Freestyle riders can head to the terrain park near the base, which includes small-to-medium kickers, rails, and boxes. The natural halfpipe under the chairlift is a favorite among snowboarders and advanced skiers looking for creative lines.
The summit offers panoramic views across the Mackenzie Basin, with vistas stretching to Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman. On clear days, the scenery alone is worth the ride up, and the descent from the top delivers a satisfying mix of speed and flow.
