Snow Reporter Comments: Today at Ohau
20 August 2026 — It's a sunny start at Ohau, currently 0°C with light southwesterly winds and good visibility. Skiing is fantastic on the groomed main trails today, with Hollywood Boulevard, Towers and Towers Return all in great shape. Off-piste, the chalky snow is softening nicely on the sunny slopes as the day warms up.
The Double Chair, Platter and Snow Mat are all running. A race training course is in use today, so give competitors some space out there.
The road in is open and chains aren't required. With 55cm sitting at both the Snow Mat and Top of Chair, and 80cm on the upper mountain off-piste, coverage is holding up well since the 10cm that fell on the 16th.
