Temple Basin’s terrain is spread across four distinct basins, offering 10 km of skiable trails with a vertical drop of 430 meters. The resort is served by 4 surface lifts, including three rope tows and one learner tow. The layout is raw and alpine, with no grooming or snowmaking—just natural snow and terrain that rewards exploration.

Beginners will find friendly terrain on Cassidy Tow and the lower half of Temple Tow. The snowy knoll near the base is ideal for practicing turns, and the learner tow allows riders to get off at any point, making progression smooth and stress-free. Supervised ski weeks for children add to the family-friendly appeal.

Intermediate skiers can explore the wide-open slopes accessed by Temple Tow and Cassidy Tow. These areas offer rolling terrain with consistent snow coverage and scenic views of the surrounding peaks. The lack of grooming means conditions vary, but the natural contours make for engaging runs.

Advanced skiers gravitate toward the terrain accessed by Downhill Tow, which leads to steeper pitches and technical lines. Bills Basin features natural halfpipes, bowls, and chutes that challenge agility and control. The terrain here is dynamic and often powder-filled, especially after northwest storms.

Expert skiers can hike to the upper ridgelines for access to big-mountain lines and deep powder stashes. These zones are not patrolled and require avalanche awareness, but they deliver dramatic descents and solitude. The terrain is steep, rocky, and rewarding for those willing to earn their turns.

Freestyle riders will enjoy the natural terrain park through Bills Basin, which includes wind-formed transitions, lips, and gullies. While there’s no formal park setup, the landscape itself offers creative opportunities for jumps and tricks. The lack of crowds means more freedom to ride your own line.
