After a short-lived spell of unseasonably high temperatures, we are slowly cooling back towards seasonal norms. This cool down will be relatively slow with freezing levels dropping 1,500’ every 12 hours. Friday, expect relatively warm temps with clear skies and calm winds until late afternoon, when winds could get a little gusty at higher elevations. Overall, it should be a very lovely day up on the mountain with plenty of fun spring-like skiing to be had!Thursday Night: Sky Cover: Mostly clearFreezing Elevation: 10,500’12hr Precip: NoneWind Trends: Light South SoutheastFriday: Sky Cover: Mostly clearFreezing Elevation: 9,000’12hr Precip: NoneWind Trends: Light and variable Friday Night: Sky Cover: ClearFreezing Elevation: 8,000’12hr Precip: NoneWind Trends: Light Southwest with moderate gusts in the 20’sOutlook: Saturday is still looking a bit wet as a system out of the Southern Pacific enters the region. Mt. Rainier should take the brunt of this storm, leaving us in light rain and mixed precipitation at the summit. By Sunday, temps should cool enough to drop the snow line all the way down to mid-mountain, allowing for a pretty decent punch of snow to grace our upper ridge lines. This is driven by the very edge of an Alaskan low-pressure system that is just barely glancing the Northwest. Uphill Travel Update: See the above banner for the current status. Please visit guest services to get your 25/26 uphill travel card, this must be renewed free of charge for the season. These lights are located by the Gondola trail map, bottom of Chinook, bottom of Discovery, and top of Quicksilver lift shack.
