Snow Reporter Comments: 1/18/26 3:00 PM Update: Goggle tans are in season....for now. We wrapped up another bluebird day with sunny turns and slush bumps. Melt-freeze cycles are keeping the snow firm in the morning but a little patience pays off as the sun softens things up and has made for fun, spring-style laps. South and east-facing runs skied best, while shaded aspects stayed firm despite the warm temps. Coverage remains variable, so ride in control, give each other space, and soak up the last turns of a solid day on the mountain.Parking reservations are not required for arrivals after noon! Cap the day with night skiing on Quicksilver and Discovery, with Rafters and Bootpack Bar open late. We'll see you up here!Notes for today:Book your shuttle today! The Crystal Express Shuttle is free with a reservation, and runs on weekends and holidays, with multiple departures from the Enumclaw Expo Center Parking Lot. Parking Reservation cancellations are always required if you're not planning on making it up. This includes for advanced bookings and additions from the waitlist. No-show policy applies. Do your part to ensure everyone has access to the mountain. Thank you! Paid reservations can only be cancelled by emailing SP+ at CrystalMtnParking@spplus.com with Reservation #, First Name, and Last Name. While you may not receive an immediate reply, the cancellation will be processed. The Crystal Mountain Contact center cannot process these cancellations.Jumpstart your new year with these new deals! We're kicking off a full month celebration of our founding year, 1962, with $62 now every Tuesday and Thursday through the end of the month.Mountain Weather 1/18/2026 4:00pmForecaster: Bradford SwansonSynopsis: The next few days will continue to be warm, sunny, and clear. While it is not ideal weather for mid-January, our snowpack is still holding up well despite the extreme heat and rain that have been thrown at it. The temperature inversion we have been experiencing will continue to hold strong, helping preserve our lower-mountain snow. Try to enjoy the spring vibes and sunshine; maybe the powder will return one day. Pattern changes are occasionally showing up on some of the long-range models, but don’t hold your breath. We are currently in an Omega block, a fancy way of saying the upper atmosphere is overly stable and blocking new weather systems from moving through. Blocking patterns like this are often long-lasting and play tricks with extended 14-day forecasts, fair warning folks. Uphill Travel Update: See the above banner for the current status. Uphill travel is no longer permitted into Southback for the remainder of the season. Please visit guest services to get your 25/26 uphill travel card, this must be renewed free of charge for the season. Uphill travel may be prohibited at any time as mountain operations teams conduct avalanche mitigation. Refer to the "No Uphill Travel" lights around the base area and the Mountain Report page indicating the status of the designated route. These lights are located by the Gondola trail map, bottom of Chinook, bottom of Discovery, and top of Quicksilver lift shack.
