This is a family place, with emphasis on wholesome family skiing. It’s not elegant. There is no night skiing and no dinner entertainment (really no dinner). The cafe serves a great variety of hot lunch (with a smile) that is not cheap but not ridiculous either. The staff is friendly and helpful. The skiing is great for a weekend of fun. Challenging but not scary.
I grew up skiing here in the 70s, and love bringing my son now. I expect his kids will enjoy it someday too. We travel here from the southeast US, because even with plane fare and rental car, the total package comes out cheaper than skiing in PA or WV, and the skiing is markedly better with much shorter lift lines. How can you go wrong?
