I am a fairly new skier but hit around a dozen resorts this year. Loveland is my favorite. It's actually big and has a great mix of runs, especially up top at numerous bowls and open areas. The scenery is fantastic, and it's basically an hour and fifteen minutes from the airport. Lift lines were never long , even during Spring Break, but a few of the lifts are a bit slow. It's a great resort to build up your skills on a variety of terrain. And if you're a pro, there are plenty of runs for you, especially way up top around 13,000 feet. The best part is the value, about 100 bucks for a lift ticket and plenty of options for longer term passes. I went a bit nuts and loaded up on both an Ikon and Epic pass, which don't cover Loveland, but I will still head back here and gladly pay for another go next season. In the meantime, trying to figure out the best way to fly through Austria in the summer and hit a Summer slope...
