New gondola dramatically reduces congestion The Range increases on mtn food choices. Need another on mtn lodge at top of sunshine
Great mtn. Boarders and skiers both happy. Impressive restaurants
Not much live music

The town has become a woke mecca with Gay Pride flags, events, etc. everywhere. It is no longer the "Western Town" it once was. Very very pricy, 90% liberal democrat, huge taxes on visitors, ridiculous climate change requirements and all hail LBGTQ all year long. Wife and I looking to move soonest.
Good variety of terrain for all skill levels. Great tree skiing
Has become too pricy for me, a local.

This was a great resort. Now is horrendous at weekends due to Ikon Pass. Lines at antiquated "high speed" chairs are often 25 minutes wait. Management sees resort as a cash cow, ridiculous price of day ticket, unbelievable prices for ski storage, food costs, with skiing experience way down their priority list. They cannot get staff as they pay them a pittance. As a result lifts often do not open and grooming standards have plummeted.
Still, on occasion, great snow.
Ridiculous lines, especially at weekends. Resort has been ruined by Ikon Pass and coperate greed

Great terrain. Needs to flow better - easily congested
Great snow conditions
Long lines

Among the best resorts in the country

Again, this is a great family, friendly mountain where you can jump from one lift to another all day long and never pay attention to the map. Just spend your time, enjoying the mountain and avoiding lift lines.
Steamboat is the best family mountain in America by far. The sheer size of the mountain, amount of lifts, choice of gradients, opportunities for bailing out of aggressive, runs, and quality of the snow are stupendous!
If you really like steep expert terrain, only there’s only a few areas available and you really need to show up for those areas after enough snow has dropped.

I have skied for over 50 years and this is the only place I have walked away from after 2 runs. Crowded and the vast majority of the mountain was closed because of wind. Thank goodness I have the IKON pass and didn’t pay for lodging, parking or a day pass. Felt sorry for anyone there on vacation. Waste of money. And they don’t care.
Can’t think of any. Dislike it every time I ski here.
Crowds, poorly managed. On a windy day they shut it all down.

Have a young family (6, 8, and 18 y/o's) pretty low intermediate skiiers. Been to PC, Beaver Creek before.... Steamboat was easily the best all around family mountain we visited!
Family Friendly, Great Atmosphere, Awesome Night Skiing

Jan 2–5, 2024. Conditions improved after snowstorms arrived in the region. On mountain lodges are poorly placed and base remains crowded despite second gondola installation. Excessive crowds at top, too, where Wild Blue, Sundown, and Sunshine unload. Snow conditions quickly skied off. Very limited terrain for experts. Chutes to East Face are only extreme challenge and for just a short portion at those runs. The mountain offers a full complement of intermediate experiences from groomers to moguls to glades.
