Cold. Real cold. Ultra flat light. Snow is decent but getting bony by end of day. Icy surprises on the main runs, but lots of fun to be found off the beaten path. Bring your warmest gear.

Today 12/29 skied like a spring day with creamy dense snow. The resort snow report didn’t make it very clear that the 6” or so came down and sat heavily. My skis could barely cut thru it. It was a fun day, but you had to work hard.

Merry Christmas everyone - about 2” overnight made the north side so beautiful and with more snow. Loved the beauty of Cowboy coffee! Steamboat is my favorite!

Sunny morning but clouds overtaking for the afternoon. Snow is mostly hard packed, but overall conditions are decent for late December. Another good day at Steamboat

Posting so that people in future can know what middle/end of April looks like. Almost empty at 8:45. Perfect groomers until around 10:30 just about everywhere. Softened up after 11 and skied nicely but got chopped up by 2. Lower mountain slushy and exposed. Upper mountain with great base and really ...
