I've been going to Sunday River since I was 3 1/2, I'm 23 now. I learned everything I know about skiing at this resort. I remember having the time of my life in ski school when I was little, and swimming at the indoor pool with friends and family on our vacations. As I grew up, I grew with the mountain and there was always new terrain for me to try out and explore. I skied my first double black diamond (Norther Exposure) on the mountain when I was about 10 or 11. When I got older, about 15, I was in high school and I remember my first time ever skiing down White Heat. I was so nervous, but so excited at the same time. I made it down the whole way without falling or overthinking, I just went for it, and I was so excited we went to the pro shop and I bought myself a long sleeve shirt with white heat on it so I could brag about it at school.
If you're ever thinking of going to this resort, do it. I want to keep my family ski trip a tradition when I have a family of my own one day because I know how worth it it'll be and the memories my kids could make here one day.
Sunday River holds a special place in my heart (if you couldn't already tell) but I can't say enough good about the terrain they offer, their ski school programs, and the experiences they offer.
