Snow Reporter Comments: Today at Mt Cheeseman 20 August 2026 — Mt Cheeseman is open today for a sunny mid-week day. Skies will be clear with light southerly winds and moderate ridge gusts that could affect the Ridge T-Bar in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to rise during the day, softening the surfaces, with the freezing level lowering to 2300 m. The mountain received 0.5 cm on August 19. Conditions are icy up top this morning, while solar aspects should soften with sun input for corn skiing. Groomed terrain is expected to provide excellent skiing as the day warms. The Beginners Lift, Main T-Bar and Ridge T-Bar are open. The Main T-Bar operates 9:00am–4:00pm, while the Ridge T-Bar operates 9:30am–3:30pm and can be subject to wind and visibility holds. The access road is open and chains must be carried at all times and fitted as indicated. Tyre socks are not considered an adequate substitute. Ski hire and Ski School are closed for winter 2026. Snowline Lodge is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
