Snow Reporter Comments: Mon 06 Oct 11:48 AM Partly cloudy until early evening then some snow. Northwesterlies developing. At 11:50am we are well above the low cloud hanging over the Canterbury Plains with clear, light breezes in the base area and 40km/h southwesterlies at the summit. We received 7-15cm of wind-affected snow on a saturated base yesterday and are looking forward to a fine start to our last week with some spring freshies up for grabs! Suggest you head up early today to make the most of the cooler temps and better snow conditions before the temps/winds begin to ramp up this afternoon... Groomed trails and off-piste snow conditions will start off soft and forgiving - after a bit of sunshine things could become a bit sticky/heavy especially at lower elevations. Please check signage at the Summit 6 unload for the status of our off-piste zones - we hope to have you skiing/riding out wide from pretty early on. We’re looking forward to a fun day up here with some pretty decent weather for a change!
