Mt. Lyford’s terrain is spread across the eastern faces of Mt. Terako, offering 20 km of skiable trails with a vertical drop of 501 meters. The resort is served by 6 surface lifts, including rope tows, platters, and a T-bar, which connect skiers to a mix of groomed runs and off-piste zones. The layout is intuitive, with the Terako Day Lodge centrally located for easy access to all areas.

Beginners will find a welcoming environment in the sheltered learner’s zone near the base. This area features gentle slopes, consistent grooming, and close proximity to the lodge, making it ideal for first-timers and young children. Lessons and rentals are available on-site, and the tubing lane adds a fun non-ski activity for families.

Intermediate skiers can explore the central bowl, where rolling terrain and wide trails offer a smooth ride. The platter lifts provide access to blue-rated runs with scenic views and natural transitions. These trails are perfect for building confidence and enjoying relaxed cruising.

Advanced skiers will appreciate the steeper pitches near the top of the T-bar, where natural ridgelines and wind lips create dynamic skiing conditions. The terrain here is ungroomed and variable, offering a taste of backcountry-style riding within the resort boundary.

Expert skiers can hike to the upper ridgeline for access to steep chutes and technical descents. These zones are not patrolled and require caution, but they deliver deep powder and dramatic alpine scenery. The hike is short, and the reward is big—especially after fresh snowfall.

Freestyle riders can head to the Wild Ride Terrain Park, which includes rails, kickers, and a halfpipe. The park is well-maintained and designed for progression, making it suitable for riders of all levels. Natural features across the mountain also offer freestyle opportunities for those who prefer organic terrain.
