Can't believe this is the first review! It's been a few years since I've been but Mt Lyford is a special place tucked up away in the Seaward Keikouras. The 20K ride up to the slopes from the lodge is spectacular. The rustic Mt LyfordLlodge on the main road has a comfortable camper van park and lodging, tasty food and a good bar at seasonable prices. The skiing was great. Equipment for hire was thankfully available but as I remember I wished I'd had my own. Better suited to those who are fit, the surface lifts ensure your skis won't leave the snow. Nutcrackers are available for hire. Sun softened hard pack by mid afternoon on the steeps, corduroy on the lower runs, Mt. Lyford is an out of the way little gem of a place.
