Snowbird Trail Map
Snowbird’s terrain is divided into three primary zones: Peruvian Gulch, Gad Valley, and Mineral Basin. Each offers distinct experiences, from steep chutes to wide-open bowls. The Aerial Tram is the resort’s signature lift, transporting skiers from base to summit in under seven minutes. From Hidden Peak, Chip’s Run descends 2.5 miles to the base, offering a scenic and steady ride ideal for intermediates.
Peruvian Gulch features advanced terrain with runs like Silver Fox and Great Scott, accessed via the Snowbird Tram. This zone is north-facing, preserving snow quality and offering technical descents for expert skiers. The Peruvian Tunnel connects this area to Mineral Basin, allowing skiers to pass through a 600 ft conveyor tunnel lined with mining artifacts.
Mineral Basin is south-facing and known for its sunlit bowls and intermediate-friendly terrain. Runs like Lupine Loop and Powder Paradise offer long, flowing descents with stunning views. The Baldy Express and Mineral Basin lifts serve this zone, which is popular for morning laps and soft snow conditions.
Gad Valley caters to all skill levels, with beginner terrain near the Baby Thunder lift and more challenging runs off Gad 2 and Little Cloud. West Second South and Chickadee are ideal for new skiers, while advanced riders can explore Gad Chutes and Tiger Tail for steeper lines and tree skiing. The Mid-Gad lift also provides access to easier terrain and Snowbird's newest restaurant, The Nest.
Natural features like the Cirque and Bookends Bowl add depth to the terrain, with cliff drops and powder stashes rewarding adventurous skiers. The resort’s high elevation and consistent snowfall ensure reliable conditions, while the layout allows skiers to transition easily between zones. Whether seeking groomers, glades, or steep chutes, Snowbird’s terrain delivers variety and challenge.
