Dan

Even as sadly it operates under the ownership of a conglomerate now, Sugarbush has retained most of the things that have made it Vermont's premier skiers mountain. If you're a beginner or a rich person looking for a ritzy ski vacation, it's probably not for you. In fact, we don't want you. Go to Stowe or some other Vail owned resort. But if you're a serious skier or at least someone who goes to a ski resort to ski as opposed to for apres and shopping or something, it's amazing. It's got the best expert terrain in the east in the Castlerock area and some great backcountry in the Slide Brook basin. Truly unmatched. (besides MRG, but Sugarbush is bigger and gets better snow)
