Snow Reporter Comments:

Jan. 21st, 2025 2:38 PM: Boy, it sure isn't this cold in BRRRRlington (ha ha ha). But frigid temps won't stop me from skiing on those sweet machine-groomed packed powder slopes, and they shouldn't stop you either! Keep the bundle going tomorrow in anticipation of temps reaching 1 at the summit and 11 at the base. Uninterrupted sunshine, however, will create the tropical illusion of a day at the beach! We'll have a ton of groomers ready for ya, and take note that there will be snowmaking on Organgrinder, Downspout, and Lower Downspout. Thank you to everyone who joined us for MLK Weekend, one where our unlock promotion with the Ikon Base Pass helped raise $30,000 for the Association of Africans Living in Vermont!

GMX gets the party started at 8 AM and all other scheduled lifts will run from 9 AM - 4 PM, besides our upper mountain lifts which spin until 3:45 PM. The Castlerock Double is not yet spinning but will be open for hiking from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM via the Long Trail. The bottom portion of Riemergasse and Sugar Run will be closed today as the parks crew continues some revamping on its current 77 features. Be sure to check out the beginner park on Sugarbear Forest, which currently has 4 fun features.

All uphill routes remain open. You can check out those specific routes here.

Do YOU know The Code?! The National Ski Areas Association is dedicated to promoting safety and responsibility on the slopes. January is NSAA safety month, and all month long, we'll be sharing important safety messages each day. Today's tidbit is "Be Park SMART: Always look before you drop.

Thank you to everyone who has tracked their vertical through the Sugarbush or Ikon App. The Descent To Rise Above has now posted over nearly 200 million feet of vertical and is tracking to reach its goal of a BILLION vertical feet in a single season, all in the name of mental health and wellbeing! Be sure to use the hashtag #BeOneOfABillion on social media to tell us YOUR story of why you're tracking and what mental health and wellness means to you. Or shoot us an email at communications@sugarbush.com to share your story. Your participation could win you prizes or a feature, but most importantly, could inspire others to get out and ski for a worthy cause.

Be sure to check out our events calendar to see all the fun events we have going on at the Bush!

Firsthand Report

Skied Sugarbush 12/20/24 the day they opened Mount Ellen for the season. It was amazing. Fresh snow made turns so enjoyable. This mountain has so many trails, and I found trails for all the different all mountain skiing one couldn't. Great mountain!
