Good cover over the whole resort! Drove up for a day trip on Wednesday (2/19/25). Probably the best conditions for Wintergreen I’ve seen since 2012/2013, all runs open.

good? the snow is all natural. great coverage. some really nice packed powder at points. bad? most of the snow ranges from hard to wet and sticky. still the most snow i’ve seen here in years.

thursday 1/23/25. good coverage, 100% open for the first time in years, variable snow. there’s a few really nice patches but most of the mountain is hard-packed, and there’s some really crappy frozen granular patches. it feels like you’re skiing on hail. basically no lift lines.

Conditions are okay. Not very icy and there’s some powder. It’s super foggy at the top of each peak and visibility is very low.

Came to ski Wintergreen because it was recently added on the Indy Pass this season (24/25) and I wanted to check the mountain out. for first day, not bad at all. it’s still opening day for a virginia ski resort so it’s not powder, but they really went nuts on snowmaking and it shows. if you go onto eagle swoop there’s a big manmade jump as well as some nice snow in the woods. rain coming later this week though :(
