Canaan Valley Resort is nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of northeastern West Virginia, offering a scenic and approachable ski experience in one of the highest mountain valleys east of the Rockies. With 95 acres of skiable terrain and an average annual snowfall of 78 inches, the resort provides consistent winter conditions supported by a robust snowmaking system. The mountain features 47 trails served by 6 lifts, including quad chairs, triple chairs, and surface lifts. The terrain breakdown includes 19% beginner, 36% intermediate, 43% advanced, and 2% expert runs.Families are well supported with a dedicated beginner area, ski school programs, and six tubing lanes located near the Bear Paw Lodge. The resort also offers a terrain park with three rails, plus ice skating and snowshoeing for non-skiers.
