Snow Reporter Comments: ⚠️ Last updated: Sunday, March 1 6:45AMGood morning and happy Sunday from Bear Mountain. Forecasts are calling for sunny skies and daytime highs in the mid to upper 60s. Surface conditions will transition throughout the day. Early laps will offer the most supportable snow and consistent coverage after grooming. As temperatures rise, expect the snowpack to become more pliable and form a softer top layer, especially on sun exposed terrain. This creates a more relaxed, surfy feel underfoot, while shaded areas may hold firmer snow a bit longer. Plan your terrain accordingly as the day warms.Today, Chair 4 will operate from 9AM to 3:30PM, and Chairs 5, 6, 7, and 9 will operate from 8:30AM to 4PM. The trails project to operate today includes:Amusement ParkCentral ParkEasy StreetExhibitionExpresswayHidden ValleyInspirationPark Run (Upper)Park Run (Lower)Rip’s RunThe GulchWhile the total terrain park feature count remains the same at 51 since yesterday, Park Crew added a fresh lineup to The Scene! Skiers and snowboarders can push their creative minds on a Close Out jib feature with a Staircase setup and two rails on one side & a Skate box on the opposing side. The lines riders can create with this playful setup will be great for the weekend alpine enthusiasts to session or watch from the sun deck. For riders looking to boost their confidence, take a ride up Chair 5 then carve down Amusement Park to test your skills on multiple snow rollers, tabletop jumps, and boxes. For the more experienced riders, head up Chair 9 to the top and flow down to Expressway to hit the Step-Up jump before making your way to The Gulch and locking in on the 100 Footer rail.Bear Mountain does not offer Night Sessions, so if you’re looking to extend your day, head over to Snow Valley or Snow Summit. At this time, the team does not plan to resume snowmaking for the remainder of the 25/26 winter season.
