Porters Trail Map
Porters’ terrain is spread across a series of interconnected bowls and ridgelines, offering 25 km of skiable trails with a vertical drop of 678 meters. The resort is served by 6 lifts, including a high-speed quad chair, a platter lift, and surface tows. The layout is intuitive, with clear progression from beginner to expert zones, making it easy to explore without long traverses or confusing intersections.
Beginners will find comfort in the Learners Area near the base, where a covered magic carpet and gentle slopes provide a safe space to build skills. The terrain here is wide and forgiving, ideal for first-timers and children. Lessons are available through the ski school, and the tubing lanes nearby offer a fun alternative for non-skiers.
Intermediate skiers can cruise trails like Easy Street and Bluff Run, which offer rolling terrain and consistent grooming. These runs are perfect for refining technique and enjoying scenic views of the surrounding peaks. The platter lift provides quick access to blue-rated trails with smooth transitions and wide turns.
Advanced skiers will appreciate the steeper pitches on Big Mama and Sundance Bowl. These areas feature natural features, variable snow conditions, and a mix of groomed and off-piste terrain. The Bluff Face zone delivers challenging descents with dramatic drop-ins and wind-loaded stashes.
Expert skiers can hike to the top of the Ridge Tow for access to steep chutes and technical lines. These zones are ungroomed and demand precision, offering some of the most thrilling terrain in the Craigieburn Range. Avalanche gear isn’t required within bounds, but caution is advised on steeper faces.
Freestyle riders can explore two terrain parks located near the base and mid-mountain. Features include rails, boxes, and small-to-medium kickers. The parks are maintained daily and designed for progression, creativity, and flow. Natural features across the mountain also offer freestyle opportunities for those who prefer organic terrain.
