If you’re still looking to get a few more turns in, your lift ticket and BBMR Midweek or Anytime season pass will work at Bear Mountain, which remains open daily through Sunday, March 29, with limited terrain off Chairs 5 and 9.Thank you to everyone who made this season at Snow Summit so special. It was a challenging one, with Mother Nature not exactly delivering on snowfall, but we’re incredibly grateful for our amazing team, especially our snowmakers and park staff. Despite record-breaking warm temperatures, we were able to stay open for a couple of months and had a lot of fun along the way.As we wrap up the season, our team will shift gears and begin work on the bike park as soon as possible. Snow Valley's bike park is planned to open first with Snow Summit following. After assessing snow conditions early this week, including how quickly it’s melting, how soon trails can be built, and getting rental bikes ready, we’ll have a better idea of our timeline. Check back Tuesday evening or sometime Wednesday for an update. The mountain resort sits at an elevation of 7,000 feet in the San Bernadino Mountains, grants access to varied terrain via 11 lifts and provides an average 100 inches of annual snowfall. The top elevation of 8,200 feet gives skiers and riders access to 1,200 feet of vertical drop. Other on-mountain activities include a tube park and night skiing.
Where Is Snow Summit Located?
Snow Summit’s base area rests within one mile of Big Bear Lake and is a two-hour drive from Los Angeles. Snow Summit is a convenient option for flyers thanks to its close proximity to Ontario International Airport, which is located 60 miles west of the ski area.
