Inside Scoop

Access to the ski area is from a sealed road through Beech forest. From the parking lot, one must walk to the about 20 minutes to ski field, this is a great way to get the warmed up and get the blood flowing before a day on the slopes. The Flying Fox lift is available to transport equipment and goods.

After a day on the slopes at Manganui, drive through sub-tropical rainforests along SH43 known as the Heritage Highway and take in the scenery of the beech ridge-tops of Whangamomona Saddle and Tangarakau Gorge.

No ski lessons, ski hire, or rentals available.
