Rainbow Ski Area Ski Resort
Overview
Rainbow Ski Area is located next to the Nelson Lakes National Park in the Southern Alps of the South Island of New Zealand. Visitors experience great views of Lake Rotoiti and beautiful beech forest that makes up the national park.
Known for wide, uncrowded slopes and well groomed trails, Rainbow Ski Area caters to all types of skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. From bumps and jumps to chutes and drops, Rainbow offers a little something for everyone. Skiers and riders will find 218m of lift accessed vertical. Facilities include a cafe, ski shop, ski and snowboard school and more.
Inside Scoop
Ski and snowboard lessons, rentals, childrens fun programs, and school group programs are available. Rainbow Ski Area is about 35 minutes away from St. Arnaud. Shuttles run to and from St. Arnaud but if you decide to drive yourself chains may be required.
